We’re in the midst of the holiday season and the busiest time of year! With a hectic schedule and a list of holiday parties and events to go to, finding the time to style your hair can be the last thing on your mind! Here are some quick styles that will help keep your holiday hair looking flawless!

Down

Whether you want to show off your long locks or keep your shorter hair looking sleek and fabulous; these are some great ideas on how to look your holiday best!

Soft and Chic Volume

Use a volumizer such as Catwalk by TIGI’s Root Boost at the roots and a thickifier such as Bed Heads Motor Mouth on the ends for thickness and volume. Rough dry the hair 80% dry, and then finish out with a large round brush for soft waves and bouncy volume.

Use a volumizing mousse to blow dry and then follow up with some curls with a 1 to 1.5 inch curling iron. Form a deep side part and run fingers through with Bed Head’s Afterparty for soft separation.

Straight and Chic Shine

Straight shiny hair can reflect the luminosity of the season!  Blowdry hair with a paddle brush to avoid too much volume with your favorite smoothing product (We love Smoothing Lusterizer by S Factor!). Finish with flat iron and Haute Iron Shine Spray to finish.

Half Up – Half Down

Wearing your hair half up is the perfect solution for people who want to have the softness of an all down look, but the elegance of having an updo.

Face Framing French Braid

Dry hair with a texturizer such as Catwalk Sea Salt Spray to give the hair a little grit. Once hair is dry, go through and curl with a 1.5 inch wand stick, using irregular sections. Next, form a deep side part and french braid along the hairline until you get just behind the ear. Pin the braid into place and shake out curls to allow the braid to look effortless.

Pinned Back Waves

Blow dry your hair with a volumizing mousse such as Bed Heads’ Totally Baked to get some lift at roots. Once dry, curl away from your face in large sections with a 1.5 inch iron. Back comb heavily at the crown, spraying with a firm hold hair spray to keep in place. Gently pull back pieces of hair and pin over the back-combed area to conceal it. Softly pull curls down around your hairline to create softness.

All Up

Holidays are busy, but these quick and simple hair fixes will help make your holiday prep a breeze!  All up styles pair well with turtlenecks and high collars.

Effortlessly Chic Pony

Start by diffusing your hair using a sea salt spray for added texture. Backcomb at the crown for lift and leave out a section of hair in front to curl away from your face. Pull back the rest of the hair into a loose, low pony. Use a curling wand to add a few curls into the ponytail for some added movement, and you’re done!  (If your hair is naturally straight, skip the diffuser, rough dry, and curl before pulling hair into a pony.)

Textured Top Knot

Start with a high ponytail with a thick hair tie at the base of the hair. Curl and backcomb the hair in sections to get a textured look to the hair. Then, wrap each section around the base of the ponytail and pin into place.  The key is to keep the bun messy but balanced.  Spray with Masterpiece high shine hairspray.  Pairing a textured top knot with precision makeup will give a sophisticated edge to your holiday look!
